Most Indian diagnostic laboratories run one or two analyzers, 20 to 60 analytes and two levels of control, and keep QC in a register or a spreadsheet. The NABL 112 criteria and ISO 15189:2022 ask for the same evidence from them as from a hospital laboratory: Levey-Jennings charts, Westgard rules applied, each rejection reviewed with a corrective action, lot-to-lot verification, EQAS participation and calibration records. QCnomics is priced and designed so a small laboratory can do that in a few minutes a day.
What a small laboratory gets
- QC entry in under a minute, or automatic capture from the analyzer through the QCnomics Agent (Erba, Mindray, Biosystems, Transasia, Sysmex, Roche and others, over ASTM or HL7), so nobody types results.
- Levey-Jennings charts and Westgard rules applied automatically, with the run held and a CAPA opened when a run is rejected, and an e-mail to the person responsible.
- Lot-to-lot verification (NABL 112A) and open-vial stability tracked per control and reagent lot.
- EQAS results with bias and SDI, and a CAPA when a result is unacceptable.
- Calibration records correlated with QC and EQAS, with six-monthly verification reminders.
- Assessment-ready PDFs: monthly QC review, violation report, CAPA register, equipment and personnel records.
- NABL readiness check and clause-wise evidence for an application.
Pricing for small laboratories
30 analytes: ₹1,500 per month (₹15,000 per year) Self-Care. 60 analytes: ₹2,500 per month. Every plan includes unlimited analyzers, unlimited users and the analyzer agent. 15-day free trial, no card required. Guided plans, with an accreditation specialist for gap assessment, document review and a mock audit, are available at twice the Self-Care price.
Is QCnomics free?
No. QCnomics has a free 15-day trial and then a monthly or annual subscription by number of analytes, starting at ₹1,500 per month. The calculators and guides on this site (sigma calculator, uncertainty of measurement calculator, QC calculator, NABL eligibility check) are free to use without an account.
How set-up works
- Register, choose the 30- or 60-analyte plan and add your sections and analytes (a seeded list covers routine biochemistry, haematology, serology and clinical pathology).
- Add each control lot with its assigned values; the laboratory mean and SD are established from the first 20 in-control runs.
- Install the QCnomics Agent on the analyzer or LIS PC (10 minutes, done remotely by our team at no extra cost) or enter QC manually.
- Run QC as usual; the charts, rules and reminders take care of themselves.
Frequently asked questions
Which analyzers can send QC automatically?
Any analyzer with an ASTM or HL7 host interface, serial output or result export, including Erba EM 200 / XL series, Mindray BS and BC series, Biosystems BA200 / BA400, Transasia, Sysmex XN / XP, Roche cobas and Beckman AU. The agent can also read the copy of results already going to the LIS without changing the analyzer set-up.
Do we need a server or IT staff?
No. QCnomics is cloud-hosted. The optional Windows agent installs in minutes and updates itself.
Can we export our data if we leave?
Yes. QC entries, lots, CAPAs and all records export to CSV and PDF at any time.
